Brian Moore, Supervisor of Interscholastic Athletics at Prince George’s County Public Schools (MD), reflects on the mindset shift required when moving from head coach to athletic director—and now, to overseeing one of the nation’s largest school districts. With 26 high schools and 40 middle schools under his leadership, Moore shares how he’s learning every day, mentoring ADs at all experience levels, and broadening his perspective to lead by example across a complex system.
