Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Asheville Christian Academy, Nick Ficker, shares his first-hand story of Hurricane Helene and the destruction it caused his school.

Located beside the Swannanoa River, the school—including athletic fields and facilities—was completely flooded and covered with mud. As Asheville rebuilds, Coach Ficker reflects on strength, unity, and the long road to recovery.
